Natures of Wires have been around for many years. They founded in 1986 in UK and released some material back in the days. They then took a 20 year long break to return in 2014. A new album followed two years later and anno 2019 we get an EP from these guys as a forerunner of a full length that they are currently creating.
The history of the band makes us curious of what we can expect from them. Is it that classic sound or are they more tending towards a modern sound? Well, a bit of both. The band has a sound that does not look odd at all in 2019, and with the poppy electro sound involved they could certainly aim for some alternative chart position with this release. Take the album opener “Try” it is an easy listening song, that dark, catchy old school synth feel in there and yet it is modern. The blend is right there and with some strong vocalist on board they are certainly making an impression.
The EP is a bit short to judge for the variation, but if they keep that in mind we think that a full length album of this formation will be a big success.
