Tobias Bader is a singer/songwriter from The Netherlands. He released his EP “Rise and Fall” recently.

Musically you kind find the tracks of Tobias coming closest to folk. Inspired by sixties and seventies he brings in instruments like that Hammond to give it a warm touch. Often working out easily towards its goal. Almost like it comes by itself, but that is surely not the matter. The compositions need to be for it and that is something that Tobias has feeling for. Putting the right details in the right moment creates playful tracks that come alive vividly. Yet, the guitar is having a more important role in the sound than one might expect at first and putting your attention to that specifically you discover the wide range of possibilities that Tobias has in him.
For example the song “Freeway To Your Heart” is one song that gains its points in the details, the refinement and attention in creating it leverages the whole outcome. Also the track “Fly” which is a rather cheerful one, is giving you plenty to enjoy.

If you don’t grasp the whole if it immediately it is worth to give the EP some more spins. It holds more than one could expect and will give you many fine listening hours in return.
