Drawn Into Descent – The Endless Endeavour

Label: Avantgarde Music
Releasedate: 15.03.2019

The four-piece band “Drawn Into Descent” formed in Belgium four years ago. “The Endless Endeavour” is the second album and it’s available since 15th of March.

If only one sentence could describes the music then there are wolves cried their lungs out during the darkest night at the deepest forest. Well, not exactly. The melody is good, smooth, deep. There is more post-rock than atmospheric dark metal. But the logo of the band is a bit confusing.

The total amount of length of all the five tracks over 45 minutes. However, if you heard the melody of “Dystopia”, it is really worth every minute of its length. There is a kind of irony of two tracks “Death…” and “…embrace me”, so you must listen over 15 minutes as completely tragic story. After all, it’s 15 for two, others consist 10 for one. “The endless endeavor” includes voice narrative and sort of hysteric accompaniment that changed during the song (don’t worry, it’s only twice happened).

Honestly, listening to the album is endless endeavor like a never-ending jam session, but not everything is that bad, so you’ll try to the band a chance to be heard of. Music is excellent.
