The Lachy Doley Group is bringing you some blues rock and they have been doing so since their formation in 2010. It’s first release under the the groupname called “Conviction” dates back to 2015 but this year they return with a new full length. It is called “Make or Break” and is available now.
What defined the sound of this group in
the first release we received of them is that Hammond that is used.
It was quite prominent back then and it has not left their sound
since. It vividly found in “Make or Break” so the whole feels
naturally comfortable.
The album is bringing a diverse experience
though, the bluesy side of them is switched with some funky tunes
here and there, making it a vibrant release, you can not just expect
it all to be flat. The element of surprise works for them. But must
also be mentioned that vocal side is also an important element. It
completes the sound and to have just that right thing there is not
for all bands there.
Comparing this release to the earlier material we can say that the guys have been taking a wider and diverse approach. They seem to find the edges of their sound and go beyond that to fall straight back to what you knew from them before. A fine release!
