Misty Bliss – Misty Bliss

[schema type=”review” name=”Misty Bliss – Misty Bliss” description=”Label: Black Market Records” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2018-12-08″ ]Swiss Rock formation Misty Bliss released the self-titled EP before, but on small scale. Now seeking wider spread it is re-released.

Musically you may be a bit mistaken by the artwork, placing it purely to rock n roll, while the album plays a more psychedelic sort of rock. Bit stoner, blues… a fine mix that forms Misty Bliss and that must be said. It has a good face of its own. Four tracks seem short to grasp upon that, but it appears that there was a good vision behind it.

A femme on vocals gives you more body than many would. That Mina has a lot of power in her voice. Here and there some fine-tuning to have it come out strongest, but time will do. That melodic guitar gives a good basis for her words, the perfect combination that creates a teasing red thread that you see coming through. Pearl Jam kind of vibes. The band knows how to build their tension, with good ideas of the songwriting on hands they show us some songs which has their catchiness but never lose any vehemence.
Above all, this seems a band that would be great to see live. The EP is awakening a certain curiosity with us. Let’s hope they get to hit the road soon and bring this music abroad. A good start!
