[schema type=”review” name=”C.T.P – Point Blank” description=”Label: Echozone” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2018-10-31″ ]C.T.P. (Christian Tolle Project) is born after Christian had done many bands and felt like starting something new. Now on lead of his own project he came with a debut album in 2000. Anno 2018 C.T.P. comes up with a new full length album called “Point Blank”.
Previous release was full of Melodic Rock songs that were well thought and we hope to see that again on this reelase. Christian has a whole bunch of people on board this time.Doug Aldrich, David Reece, John Cuupers, Mathias Dieth and Morris Adriaens are involved making the sound a bit more complete. But what we hear is all quite familiar. “Since You’Ve Been Gone” is obvious for it is a cover, but also the songs that are of his own hands are quite familiar. Seems like the man has created a recognizable sound even though there are many different people involved.
Vocalwise that variation is not going too crazy which keeps the songs better connected and combined with some good songwriting the album turned out quite nice once again.
Another fine release from C.T.P. Hard Rock fans will enjoy this one greatly and if you have not discovered it before this year, than now is certainly a good time to add it to your playlist.
