Fatoumata Diaware is an actress and while singing for theatre made her way to the release of an album now. She composed her songs and now the album “Fenfo” is out.

Fatoumata Diawara is a woman who can bring her heart into words. She sings, you feel the emotion and simply live it. There is not much of playtime needed before you figured that out. With a worldly approach to her music she does not only use her background but also a much wider view on the world to empower her music. This gives the diversity in her songs that is often surprisingly refreshing but also stresses that there is so much to this world that you can discover and discovery is something that “Fenfo” encourages.

Sure you won’t really understand the words that are brought, but it is fine, for one can simply close his eyes and feel it all come alive, it is vibrant like that. Some songs would be great for a pop experience even, where others are more intimate and personal. Playing it a bit funky sometimes gives the whole a bit of a body that keeps the whole together. Simply a pleasant album to listen to, one that may not be one you listen to every day, but rich in its experience.
