Shock Therapy is an electro punk band from Detroit, Michigan, USA. They were founded in 1982 by Gregory John McCormick, aka Itchy Wiggle Christ, and Eric Keith Jackson, Itchy being the only constant fixture and driving force in the band’s lineup in its history. They released 16 albums in their career, “Hate Is Just A 4-Letter Word”, released on Fundamental Records in 1985, being the most popular, especially in Germany which McCormick called his home for some time. Gregory John “Itchy” McCormick died of an alcohol overdose on the 5th of November 2008, ending Shock Therapy. And now the guys are back.

Shock Therapy released an album with the name of “1985-2008 Theatre of Shock Therapy” to honor the deceased singer and to announce their comeback. Basically a celebration of the past and a new beginning. The album comes with thirty-four songs and is split up into two CDs. The songs on this album are very electronic and catchy. Smooth and soft electronic melodies and a very soft voice is hypnotizing you.

Shock Therapy is back. With “1985-2008 Theatre of Shock Therapy” the band is celebrating the past one more time before they start a new. Get this amazing collection of their best songs.
