Pull A Star Trip is a German band formed by the duo Steffen Kelle and Bartholomäus Rymek in 2006. In their short career they toured all over USA and Europe and released three albums, E-Vasion Inn is their latest one.
Already the artwork of the album sets up a kind of vivacious atmosphere which reflects a bit what you find within. Pull a Star Trip sound is characterised by a massive use of acoustic guitars as well as strings which perfectly fit the melodies and give something more soft and sweet to the listening. In the beginning vocals can remind a bit of elated Punk sounds, at times surrounded by almost inaudible screams, but then you realise Pull A Star Trip have very little to do with Punk and as the listening goes by, the deeper and warmer side of vocals is revealed. Actually, in quite many tracks the album sounds like an acoustic one. A cheerful feeling is surely something you can find in every song, even the lowest ones, which have always a kind of light-hearted sound that can be easily enjoyed.
Pull A Star Trip brought out a really nice and fluent work, which is surely to be put into Pop Rock genre, but still isn’t too extreme. And in this case it isn’t a demerit mark at all.
