Here comes Rideau. Hailing from the greater Örebro area, the city that already produced punk rockers like Millencolin or grindcore greats Nasum, singer Gabriel Öberg and guitarist Carl Magnus Palm started their new outfit back in 2013, after their former group Insekt fell apart due to their singer’s vocal cord problems. Gabriel quickly switched his bass for a mike and began with Carl to rework previous song ideas by adding some exciting new touches and elements. And this is their self titled debut album.
Fast and thriving music comes blasting at you when pressing play at this brand new Rideau album. The catchy melodies are pushing you along, while the strong guitar riffs guide you the way. The band is wandering the path or rock music with some punk elements that cause some songs to be louder than others. The vocals range from sung to shouted, but are always fitting in. “Rideau” is a strong debut album that will get all you rock and punk rock fans go along to the music.
The self titled debut album of Rideau comes with twelve strong rock songs. Energetic and powerful, each of them will pull you along and get stuck in your head. Check it out and rock along.
