[schema type=”review” name=”Khroma – Stasis” description=”Label: Sabine van Gameren” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2016-04-01″ ]Khroma is back with a brand new album. The Electronic Metal formation from Finland is releasing a new full length album. It is called “Stasis” and it is out now.
For people that are familiar with the band’s previous releases will find themselves happy with “Stasis”. The band has continued going with what they have created before. Yet there is some slight difference to find in there. The band seems to go harder than before, more powerful. The first song, “Brace Yourself” is all confidential, you heard and it takes you in, the building towards an outburst and prepare you for what’s next. The band dug into the comprehension and expanded on it, having these guitars going wilder and all, but not claiming that main attention. The balance is in there.
When coming down to “The Push” you come to the most explosive and remarkable songs of the album. The enormous power that lays in it combined with a little catchiness makes this song immensely to listen to. Right after that, the band takes a slight step back in the power and have a bit more of a mysterious feeling into it. “Hydra” is one that triggers you to listen with care to the lyrics, feel the words and live them. The album has the diversity that you want and yet it flows easily.
“Stasis” creeps up to you and surprises you, while it is only the good friend you know since highschool. A step forward for the band taking the sound that divines them and make that engraving, the stamp come out stronger than ever.
