Dutch formation Bring On The Bloodshed makes a combination of Hardcore and Death Metal. They released their debut album in 2013 and return with a second full length now. “Amongst The Ruins” is out now.
It must be said that the band shows a strong picture of what they want to put down, they might go play with it here and there on a minimal level but after the first track you know right away what to expect. This is also a bit of a trap for this band, towards the end of the release it is hard to stick with it, a point that demands some attention. It is not that they are not bring some variation into it at all, but they could expand on it a bit more. The genre blends they put in could go even further and get some more out of it.
Generally speaking Bring On The Bloodshed gives us a good dose of metal though. It stands, it is strong and has the right vehemence in it. Brute and straightforward, an album that will bring them on the road again after having done plenty shows in the past. They have an energetic album to draw from.
