Venue: Bibelot, Dordrecht (The Netherlands)

You might know this guy from his hardcore band Life of Agony. He started to explore the more alternative scene in 1997, where all is about the lyrics and the way the songs are brought to you. Keith knows how to put a lot of emotion in his tracks, and even though he is a small man he can be great on stage. It is interesting to watch him singing his songs. The way he brings the lyrics is in a dark melancholic way but knows how to create beautiful emotions, that flirts with the romantic every now and then. Intense. He knows how to get the people going but also to get the crowd so quite that you can hear the person next to you breathing.
Tonight he brought a all Dutch band with him. They had played at a Belgium festival earlier that day and said he was quite tired, but I couldn’t notice any of it when watching the band. The show was good and intimate. The venue was not sold out, but those who were there really came to see Keith. There was no support act but that was not needed, Keith Caputo knows how to play beautiful songs right from the heart. Before returning in the studio to record his eight album, Keith Caputo and his band “The Sad Eyed Ladies” are doing an European tour. It is been said that there will be a hightlight on October 15th, with a 15-piece orchestra at the Kulturekirche, in Cologne, Germany. So if you missed this performance, you know where to go. |
