Despite their success, Cinema Bizarre decided to break up in 2010 due to creative differences. Jack Strify took some time off from the music business to find his own artistic roots. This eventually resulted in his first solo EP GLITTER + DIRT that was released without any record label in 2013, accompanied by a video trilogy that visually presented his first work as a solo artist.
The EP being a warm-welcomed hit amongst his fans, Jack Strify played his first solo shows in February 2014. Now he has released his debut album which is called “Illusion”. This full length studio album is coming with twelve tracks plus two additional bonus tracks of which one is a remix. The album includes one feature song with an artist called Bonnie Strange: “Electric”. Catchy electronic pop with a touch of fantasy and dreams. Some songs are faster and made for the dance floor while some other songs are deeper and slow, perfect to sway along to. Jack Strify is playing with his voice and presenting all its facets on this album. From high pitched to almost rock like roaring. Jack Strify is an artist, that is for sure. The album also includes a song of Cinema Bizarre: Jack Strify took “My Obsession” and gave this song his very own touch. “Illusion” is a totally interesting album. Catchy and thriving. Even if you re not into this kind of music, check out the art of the sound. “Illusion” is out now.
