The Norwegian Thrash Metal formation started in the early 90´s. A long hiatus of about 10 years had left a long silence but since the guys added a new drummer to their line up in 2004 they have been active again. In 2009 a debut full length came out and this year the guys return with a follow up on that. “With These Fists” is out now.
Forgery is a Thrash band which includes plenty of those groovy elements into their sound. With a variation of tempo’s backing it up they come to a release that has a lot to give. Nine tracks and at the last one you hoped there would be more, that’s how we like it. Giving you a variable sound the band simply drags you along these songs and obediently you are following.
Good, you will be aware of the fact these guys did not invent this sound themselves, plenty of names to be found that have that groovy edge over it, but what these Norwegian guys did do was making sure that their sounds has a face of it’s own, a bit of a personality that stands for themselves too. And that is exactly why “With These Fists” is going to be the greatest addition to many Thrash Metal collections.
