After the UK metal reggae band Skindred released their latest album “Kill The Power” they are now touring Europe to spread the world and perform it live. Together with Soil and Maplerun they hit city for city and infect them with their music. The venue was quite crowded with a mixed kind of people: Reggae fans, some who looked like hippies, metal fans and general rock fans that like good music. All enjoying this great Thursday night.

Doors had opened at 7pm and the first band began at 8pm. Maplerun was up first, a band from Greece. They began warming up the crowd. After the thirty minute set of Maplerun the American metal band went up on stage to heat them up. Many people in the audience seemed to be huge fans of Soil as they could sing along to all songs. While the band rocked on stage the audience clapped and shouted along, moved along to the music and started circle pits. For the last song the singer went down into the audience to sing it from there and rock his heart out with the fans.

Headliner of the night was Skindred. All dressed in Star Wars like outfits the guys came up on stage celebrating the evening. The singer began jumping around and getting the audience to freak out. The reggae music in their songs spread good vibes. Each band member rocked out on stage, moving along to their music and singing the backing vocals.

The singer talked to the audience in-between each song, getting them to cheer out loud and put their hands up. Skindred played quite some songs off their new album “Kill The Power” such as “Ninja”, “World’s On Fire” and “We Live”. The guys also played old hits.
The audience had the time of their lives. What an intense night with an amazing band. The powerful music got everyone going along until the very end. Skindred definitely is a must see when it comes to great live performances.So go catch them live.
