The British six-piece (!) alternative rock band “Blackout” released an album per two years. So there are ten years of existence and the fourth album is available to judge by music experts and fans.
The Welsh hit the stage for a long time since foundation and known for the bombastic choruses and absolutely crazy behaviour. This time the band tried to shoot straight in the head with idea of music as form of escapism and did it almost flawless. The opener commands don’t hesitate with can or bottle and just start the helluva party. Enjoy your time with napalm riffs and screams of “We live on” track then. The track titled “Sleep When You’re Dead” perfectly suits those party monsters that “can’t stop theirselves in celebrating”. It’s strange when band includes two lead singers but they made any track charming (in its own way) and catching. Especially screaming part in “Free yourself”. Also there some slow tracks, well technically less aggressive. For example, “Running scared” offers you “touching” melody on the one hand and warning thought “run fast and scream for the life”.
Seriously, it’s typical sound of American alternative rock like “My chemical romance” do for instance. But it pretty cool to add some explosive elements to three chords of rock’n’roll.
