Supports: Addiction For Destruction; Venue: Milk, Moscow (Russia)
By: Milla Smile
The support band named “Addiction for destruction”. It’s better have addiction for self-destruction. And release it immediately. Seriously, I’d rather cut my eyes off with tea spoon and fill my ears liquid lead than listen to this band again. Sorry, guys.
The Swedes with “absolutely not pompous” title “Hardcore Superstar” rock the stage since 1998. The band released eight albums with different sound from raw punk to sleaze rock and will release their forthcoming album “C’mon take on me” at 1st Mach 2013.
There was the third attempt of the band to land on Russian ground. The previous two failed and the lucky third hit the audience’s guts. The small area of “Milk” club was in the way almost “overcrowded”. The glammers, rockers and whoever in “Backyard Babies” merchandise congest the floor. Set list mostly contained songs from the last three albums and two early songs “Liberation” and “Someone special” from «Bad Sneakers and a Piña Colada» which made the band famous. The spirit of rock’n’roll hovered in the air. The demonic dances of singer Jocke Berg made him the only rocketman that night. The other members were neither hard nor super and didn’t involve in action. Despite of that the response of audience was fantastic: all the words was singing by the crowd, all the song was providing slam and dance.
Honestly, it wasn’t the best performance of the band but if you never heard of them there are loads of albums you must listen.
