Marillion – Sounds That Can’t Be Made

Releasedate: 17-09-2012; Label: Edel

“Sounds that can’t be made” is 17th studio album of the 30 years old British progressive rock band “Marillion”.

The eight tracks with touching and skillful material announced progressive rock in its way should be is still alive. There is solid work of cosmic keyboards and gently weeping guitars. The third part of the entire album belongs to tracks with length over 10 minutes. The first is “Gaza”, political track about situation in the Middle East. The second “Montreal” is personal diary which ended with the “Je t’aime my darling, Je t’aime my darling
Montreal” line. The last of mentioned tracks is “The sky above the rain”. Few words about short tracks (which over 5 minutes long). The titled track contains sound that can and even was be made several times and not only by this band. The track provides many thoughts of being is “Lucky man”. What means “to be luckiest man ever”? The answer is “have everything you want”. And what exactly you want is only your choice but freedom would be completely delighted. The last track I should mention is “Invisible ink”, so it seems the band can do the non-existent things such as write with invisible ink and make the sounds that can’t be made.

In my humble opinion any sounds can be made. Sounds from this album would be interesting for your soul.
