Stallion Four – Rough Times

Releasedate: 27-07-2012; Label: Pure Rock Records

The Swedish five-piece band “Stallion Four” released their debut album “Rough Times” this year.

Honestly, I don’t know what positive/new/interesting moments the album brought to the hard’n’heavy history. I’m a huge fan of what Swedish rock industry gave to the world but not in that case. The sound is pretty much Australian, like what “AC/DC”, “Rose Tattoo” or new generation “Airbourne” did, do and will be doing.
Shrill voice and raw equipment are not the best combination. But this is main line for the album. I have no choice but I must point something. So there is the track “The train” with catchy melody and mighty riffs. Not that annoying as others. The track “Searching Man” has solid guitar solo. The titled track provided to be interesting by combining the sound of early “CrashDiet” and “AC/DC” again. “Devil In Me” started with screaming and then riffs busted the space.

In my humble opinion there is pretty huge amount of bands which copied the AC/DC style and lots of them just better than this band. So if you wanna hear the album you probably gonna have badly rough times. At least, you may turn the sound to the max. Hard’n’heavy is never too loud.
