Nunfuckritual is a formation that has musicians from several known metal bands together. A blend of styles is there as well. It took some years to get it together but now, anno 2011, the album “In Bondage To The Serpent” is released.
Nunfuckritual is: Teloch (Nidingr, Mayhem), Espen T. Hangård (Altaar), Dan Lilker (Nuclear Assault, Brutal Truth) and Andreas Johnson (Tyrant). With this mix of musicians you may expect something interesting and that is what you get. Black Metal is all in this release, hear the screaming and screeching voice. This combined with the riffs in this album, the overwhelming atmosphere brings you to pure evil and darkness. They claimed to ‘ignore trends’ which you may agree with or not. Fair enough, it is evil it is different than standard, but it is not that ridiculously renewing thing as they try to tell you. What is a strong point in the release is the way they are convincing you with what they try to say with the music, you can feel there is some passion behind it and that surely has its charm. “In Bondage To The Serpent” is a decent release, has its moments but don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the names. They make an own sound which works well and therefore is a good one for each Black Metal collection.
