The Norwegian formation Djerv is on their first tour out of their own country. Nijmegen was on the list for this evening.

The three members of the band all have a different background. Guitarist Stian is known of his work in the Black Metal band Trelldom, drummer Erlend has several projects on his name like for example Stonegard, a stoner metal formation and the folk band Wardruna. Then there is the vocalist Agnete which gave voice to the band Animal Alpha.

Tonight there are some live members as well and it all created an organized chaos as you may have expected a little seeing what the band brings. Recently, the trio cane with their debut album “Djerv” which was presented to a quite filled venue this evening. The set was built smartly, with the ultimate climax at the very end of the set and the rest building up towards it. The audience seemed to take a few moments to observe it but quickly picks up the music as it has quite some catchiness. When the songs “Madman” and “Headstone” are played most of the audience is all-in and so does the evening close with an interesting performance. Djerv may seem a little odd but knows how to put down a good show and bring some atmosphere in the venue.
