Jessie Galante is a singer/songwriter from USA. “Spitfire” is her second album and it is out now.
Rock chick Jessie makes music from the 80’s coming from all what she feels as important in life and experiences she has been through. Besides the rock elements this femme dares to throw in some soul or take a little jazzy edge whenever she feels like doing so. Vocal wise it goes from Tina Turner to Skin back to Jessie Galante. Obviously she is a woman with a wide range. “No Fool No More” is a perfect example of a song that shows the range towards soul and the vehemence of rock that is in her as well. What helps Jessie also, is the fact that many larger names are on her album to be mentioned as well, but this may have helped a little towards the result being not that inventive. There is a lot of recognizable sounds and maybe the predictability of the music is Jessie’s largest trap. In the end, the album listens easily but it should not have been much longer as than it starts to become an album that has been made too many times already.
The lady has some fire and passion within and that makes “Spitfire” a good album for the summer, the road trips towards festivals become much more pleasant when album with this 80’s sound is on the play.
