What is better than to spend a Wednesday night out seeing a show? Tonight we were back at Nachtleben, this time to see One Fine Day.

The venue was filled with excited teenagers and some parents. All giggling and blabbering, some quite proud to be able to drink beer and be out in a club on a weekday.

One Fine day had a one-man-army as opener called Der Dicklinger Toni. With his acoustic guitar around his neck and the finger on the play button of his beatbox he rocked the audience. In his silly and nerdy way the people loved him instantly and did as he said and even more. Clapping along, singing along and laughing about his jokes. Der Dicklinger Tony was surprised and overwhelmed by the awesome reception. And the audience simply loved him – or just felt terribly sorry for him being such a nerd and all alone on stage – that they had a good time and went along to the music. It was fun to watch this one man band perform on stage and tell all his jokes, explain some jokes that the younger audience simply didn’t know to understand and play his songs. His set of 30 minutes went by very fast.

Now it was time for One Fine Day to rock the Nachtleben on this Wednesday night. One Fine Day is a rock band from Hamburg founded in 1997. Their latest album is called “The Element Rebellion”. With this very album they were touring now. The One Fine Day fans in the audience knew old and new songs, sang along and danced along to the music. Almost half way through the set the band asked everyone to kneel down just to jump up and dance around as soon as the music was setting in. And everybody did. There was nobody trying to proof how cool he was just by staying up. One Fine Day played old and new songs, chatted with the audience in between songs or shared a few beers with them. It was a wonderful show on a great Wednesday night.
