Norwegian Thrash Metal formation Nekromantheon has been formed in 2005. The band released their debut album “Divinity of Death” already in 2010, but it is now available more international.
The Norwegian band have supplied us with a traditional Thrash record. It is raw, rough and aggressive. They bothered to keep a bit of filth in their production as well, not making this come too close to the modern polished sounds. The band found themselves happy in teasing you a little with their tempo changes. Bringing it down, making you think the song comes to its end but then suddenly giving you a bonus round in which they quickly built to the climax. It’s a trick they bring you a couple of times. After all the band does not bring something refreshing, but within the album they bring you enough variation to keep you entertained. This music exist in quite large numbers but the Thrash Metal fan may find himself happy with it. On the quality of the music, counts pretty much the same. It is not top of the bill but still quite ok. A good add for your collection, just don’t expect it to become that killer album that changes your musical life.
