Novack is indie pop from Utrecht. Since the falling apart of their previous band Vladimir, Wubbo Siegers and Sander van der Linden haven’t stopped making music. Accompanied by Chris Siegers on bass and Jan Dekker on trumpet, Novack finished their debut album in 2010. The result is a subtle, layered piece of work, with references to and somewhere in-between Elbow, The Notwist and Death Cab For Cutie.
Their debut album is called “Sequences & Still”, includes ten tracks and is released now. Soft rock pop music accompanied by a very comforting voice is coming at you when you hit play. “Sequences & Still” includes catchy beats and great melodies make this album go by way too quick. The outstanding bass line caught my attention and let me soak up every single note of the songs. “Sequences & Stills” is a sheer and very pure album. You can tell that the band put a lot of thoughts and passion into it. Somehow this album gets you thinking. Random thoughts pop up in your mind while the ten tracks are playing in your player. The new Novack album “Sequences & Stills” is definitely worth a listen, so go check it out now.
