Cold War Kids are an American indie rock band from Long Beach, California. Band members are Nathan Willett (lead vocals, piano, guitar), Jonnie Russell (guitar, vocals, percussion), Matt Maust (bass guitar), and Matt Aveiro (drums).
This is the second release of Cold War Kids that I get to review, and one thing up front: By now, they definitely have made it to the list of my favorites. Their new release is called “Mine Is Yours”. Eleven tracks are to be found on this beautiful album. The music is very rhythmic and awesomely catchy. The arrangements are deep and you can get lost in the big sound they created. There is so much to discover in the music itself. Indescribable and definitely breathtaking! The singer’s voice is awesome too and matches the music perfectly well. The songs are all catchy and meant to be stuck in your head for long. Somehow the album puts you into a good mood and gets you tipping along at least. Easy going it floats along yet digs deep into your mind. The new album of Cold War Kids “Mine Is Yours” is a must have, not only because I fell in love with their music but because their stuff is really good and you should definitely check it out if you are into good music!
