Magic Kingdom is a power metal band out of Belgium. Their style is a little similar to the metal band Man-O-War but they add a symphonic touch to this generic music and make it their own.
Magic Kingdoms’ newest album, Symphony of War, is the third from the band and represents almost everything that could be looked for in a metal album. The vocals are powerful but mostly clean, guitar solos thrown in at strategic intervals and backing vocals in all the right places. Even keyboardist Giordana throws in a few lightning fast solo’s. The whole album flows nicely together and most of the tracks are up to the same quality. From the title track Symphony of War to the ending of the Metallic Tragedy, the band puts passion and flare into their songs. Magic Kingdom is a perfect example of a metal band in its prime. They know exactly what they want to do and how to do it. With most bands, the third album is usually rushed or not as good as their previous works. In the case of Magic Kingdom, their third is probably one of their best. Symphony of War would be a perfect album for any fans of clean vocals and fantasy based metal.
