Curimus is a Finnish Thrash/Death metal band. The band has been formed in 2004 and so far they have released a couple of demo’s. “Values” is the latest.
This three track demo comes in quite surprising, the Finns set down their own face on quite regular Thrash, having a signature mix of drums, bass and guitars. The guitars often find their own way, taking the rest with. They seem quite upfront. This makes the vocals get pushed back a tiny bit. A little more dominance of those would radiate even more of the aggression that seems to come from vocalist Marko Silvennoinen. As the song that most stand out, the fingers automatically point to the closing song “Addicted”. It has some catchiness and listens easily. Stands a tiny bit away from the other songs but yet remained close in line. It is just how precise you care to listen. Here and there may be some minor things to work on, that own signature we spoke about before could probably be highlighted even more. Though, with a release like this the band would have no problems finding a label. We hope so, because three songs of them on a disc inevitably asks for more.
