EBC Roxx is project that has a story. Vocalist ELA teams with Tony Carey (ex-Rainbow) and Jürgen Blackmore, the son of Richie Blackmore. Under the name of EBC Roxx the have released an album called “Winners vol. 1”.

Most remarkable fact about this release is that the whole album is inspired by racing. In any form as it can come. Furthermore, there is not that much of originality to their sound, but perhaps it is not even needed for an album like this. It is a typical Classic Rock album, and with a theme like this it seems to be perfectly suited for the festival season. On the guitars we can find some decent riffs, meeting the border with cheesy, but stays on the right side, strong vocals, mainly by Tony, but also ELA has a change to showcase her voice in the song “Out of Time” which is the bonus track, but would make a good shot at a nice chart position for the fact that it is catchy and yet stayed a bit on the poppy side. Overall, this seems to be an album that is made while having a lot of fun, not the album you would take very serious perhaps, but just a good one to listen every once and a while.
