Circuline ‎– Circulive – New View

American Prog formation Circuline thinks big. And as it seems, their shows are much of that as well. The band released a live album plus a DVD. They called it “Circulive – New View” and it is available now.

It is not that the band has a whole lot of years on the counter, they are founded in 2014, but that the band is bringing a load of experience with them is clear. At the first listen it was “Piano Challenge” that stood out to me, a fun track that is skillfully played and has an exciting vibe to it, bringing not a break but yet a calm moment in the set. However it has so much in there to listen to that you hoped to see it live in front of you. But, if you think this is how you grasp the whole of this album, you are mistaken. This is an album that deserves a whole lot of plays before you find your opinion, an investment piece so to say.

Atmospherical track “Forbidden Planet” is one that also caught our attention. The band slowly leads you into the track and the builds towards a climax and have a drum feature at the end of the track. Nice for a live experience and best to be seen so you get climpse of the energy that is where. On a non-visual way of listening it is perhaps a bit less of an add.

Circuline made quite a production with this release. Currently, they said to be working on a new studio album that is planned for late 2021 or early 2022. Hopefully they are able to use the stages again so the audience will experience it all live. Because that this band is best to be seen live is what we have learned here with this release.
