=fudge= – Dust To Come

=fudge= is a formation making Synth Metal as they tell us. They have been founded in 2012 and this year will be the release of their first full length release. It is called “Dust To Come” and it is available now.

Synth metal, you could say Industrial Metal as well, is an interesting one. This band has a diversity of styles in one album, but hearing a bit of Manson made me smile. Obvious yet not so obvious. Yet, when the band throws in their more Metal side they seem to do surprisingly well also. It is a combination that jumps out. In the booklet you can see a guitarist mentioning Alexi Laiho as an idol, which explains the vicious riffing here and there.

The band also included a comic book with this album, we did not have it to judge but it could be a nice add to the story of these guys. Lyrically you are learning a lot about fear, satan, god burning in hell and those kinds of sinister themes. Releasing it right before Halloween is probably a deliberate choice.

Altogether =fudge= has created an album that sparks our interest. It is a nice release that leaves us wonder what they will grow to. Having Corona preventing them to bring this properly to stages etc may be a bit of bummer, but when they get hooked up with the right combo to tour with to reach the right audience they can grow fast.
