Breed formed in the summer of 2004 in a cement bunker in the windy ocean town of Kristiansund – Norway. Honing their sound, fat groove metal, as they instantly started work on what would be the debut album. After releasing an intense video to the epic track “You Can’t Brake Me” they moved to Oslo and started the recording their debut album. In March 2007 the self-titled album “Breed” (FaceFront /Indie Records), was released. In late 2008 the writing for the upcoming album “Another War” was finished and the band holed up in the studio with acclaimed names like Asgeir Mickelson (Testament, Borknagar, Sarke) Vocal Producer: Jock Loveband (Hellbillies, Madrugada, Savoy, Silje Nergaard) and Børge Finstad (Mayhem, Borknagar, Tristania, Sadus. The album was then brought to Fredman Studios (Dream Evil, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Arch Enemy) for mixing.
Their new album “Another War” is now released. Breed kicks ass with their new album from the very first second on until the very last. Ten powerful tracks pushing adrenaline right through your body and make you want to mosh and shout along to the music. The first song “Bloodstone” starts out with a Spanish Guitar in the intro before the fast riffs and the shouting begins. You can find quite some guitar solos on this album. Breed combines 80s metal and hard rock with newer elements. The singer has a great voice that reminds of the 80s when he sings but he also screams a lot on this album. “Another War” definitely starts another riot in the pit. “Another War” is an awesome album for all hard rock and metal fans. Make sure you got your copy of it.
