War From A Halots Mouth is a German band mixing Deathcore with Technical Metal. “MMX” is the band’s latest release.
Besides the typical Death core elements the band seemed to find hail in jazz/progressive as well, something that suits well in the genre. On “MMX” the band did not really come with something we have not heard from the band before though. Perhaps the band got a bit more aggressive, leaving the melodic side a bit more in the background but with that creating more space for to vocals which seem to work out perfectly. Here and there some spoken words get in as a filling, but although the vocals get more into the music it is still the instrumentals that stand upfront. Usually the band gets to the point quite soon, songs are often short but the band has found a perfect way to show their versatility. Tempo changes seem to be the base for them to create differences and transitions between different styles. This third release of the band seem to have hit the spot once again, it’s a release that shows exactly what the band is about and does not leave any aspect unknown. For those who enjoy Math Core its simply a must.
