Ingraved is a Death Metal band from Italy. The band started in 2001 and got their debut out in 2006. They are now up for their second full length release “Onryou”.
As inspiration the band found their hail in a Japanese mythological spirit. The band mentioned it is a metaphor for the band’s return after some hard years. These Italians come in a bit chaotic at first. In the way they set the guitars next to the vocals it is not always to decide where to focus on as a listener. Will you pick up the lyrics, it are the guitars that come in too distracting, but on other moments the vocals get pushed backwards. As if these two are battling throughout the record. What is nice to hear at this album are the clean vocals although they might need a little work. That is pretty much the conclusion of the album; need some work on. But it is not that this record is not worth listening. The theme is original and brings an interesting touch to their sound. Also the artwork of the album seems to be quite interesting. Maybe this release is not chartbreaking, there is certainly something in the band that indicates there is more inside. Hope to hear more from them in the future.
