Alex Braun is a known as a member if the band !Distain. Also as an solo artist he releases material and what is to know about that is that he mainly presents covers. “Chasing Cars” is the most recent release from his hands and is available now.

“Chasing Cars” was of course a massive hit, so you can’t really have avoided the original. It was in your supermarkt, a random tv show, the waiting tune at your helpdesk… everywhere. Yet, Alex thought it needed a new touch. Sure, amongst many others who have tried.
Then, we get Cambodia (Kim Wilde) and another Depeche Mode cover. Everything the world never had before this release came out.

The other tracks are maybe a bit more interesting choices, but altogether it does not give us something renewing. The songs are elektofied but that is about it. No radical new ways of hearing the songs… no surprises.

The Alex Braun album listens easily and the fact that it is recognizable makes it a great asset for your next party, but if you expected this to be a release that brings something different to your collection, you will be disappointed. Leave it for the parties then.
