Comprised of four members with a knack for indie pop sensibility and similar tastes, The Scenic was fashioned in 2006 with ringleaders Shane Reynolds on drums, guitarist Jake Scisio and Frank Romantino on bass. The group thought their ideal roster was complete when rhythm guitarist Dan Wolf joined in late 2007, but, in an unfortunate twist, the original vocalist then took an exit. However, vocalist Jeremy Menard’s outfit had also just disbanded, and he was recruited to not fill another’s shoes, but to make the role his own. This is their second album called “Bipolaroid”
The Scenic’s new album “Bipolaroid” reminds of teen rock or bands such as The Matches. The music is definitely spreading a good mood and brings the sun back into your hearts. Somewhere between pop rock and punk rock is where you can put The Scenic with their sunny surfer music. The lyrics are very refreshing and cool and each song would be a perfect song for radio or MTV. Somehow the album also reminds you of your Highschool time, it is like a soundtrack to teenage years and Highschool. “Tonight We Live Forever” is an awesomely deep song. “Halo” includes an acoustic guitar as well as some classic music elements in the background. “Bipolar” is a wonderful bright album. I am sure you will love it too.
