Pay No Respect – Moving On

Releasedate: 16-08-2010; Label: Spook Records & Case5 Records
By: Sabine van Gameren

Pay No Respect is a UK band making Hardcore Metal. The band is formed in 2007 and is now releasing their EP “Moving On”.

With a good dose of aggression, this band serves you in any way the Harcore Metal fan might wish for. Vocals which bring the emotional rage to a highlight, the brutality floats all over this release. The band does not give in with a weak moment but keeps strong during these six songs. Hear the choruses, often catchy but full tension and passion. Elaborated riffs bringing some color to this vehemence. The speed keeps consistent with it vicious and smooth the band braids it all together resulting in the fine mix they called “Moving on”. This band knows how Hardcore Metal should be made and stands out above the many who tried to get here too. A good production is on their side as well in which the balance of the instruments is well found. Wondering if there are any points of criticism to form, there is not really a lot to say. Maybe the fact that this six track release hangs somewhere between an EP and an album. With a few tracks more this would have been a monster release, now this is some sort of appetizer that fills you up so much that you keep wondering if you can still make it through the main course and beyond. Furthermore, we are surely satisfied.
