Kozeljnik is a Black Metal formation from Serbia. It started in 2006 in 2008 the band got its debut on the market. Anno 2010 it is time for their second full length “Deeper The Fall”.
The start of the album is a bit hold back already, it doesn’t really slam you in the face. Quite basic riffs and not too much originality comes from them. Here and there it almost seem to built towards other genres riff wise. Heavy Metal influences can be heard, not extremly obvious, but they are certainly there. A quite abrupt change comes when the vocals come in. It speeds up and become more aggressive. A chaotic collection of music and vocals starts. It takes a bit before the balance is found back. This goes throughout the whole album. Not exactly the type of music you would expect. The band seem to be decide less about their tempo, changing it on inappropriate moments. Somehow there is a touch of old school with them, but the experimental side takes over and this is where it goes wrong. Like a puzzle that is forced to fit, making the image look ridiculous as not all the pieces are in the right place. If the band has got it, they did not show it with this album, try again.
