Negative is a Finnish glam rock band founded at the end of 1997. Members of Negative cite musical influence such as Guns N’ Roses, Queen, and Hanoi Rocks The band itself labels the music as ”emotional rock’n roll”. Now they released their sixth album “Neon”.
Recorded in LA, you can definitely hear the America, and especially Hollywood influence in the music. The music is wide and contains a lot more experience as well as passion. The lyrics are extremely personal and you can feel the emotions the band put into the album. The sound is strong and able to carry you,.Very pure and deep it is able to create a world around you while being on play. “Love That I Lost” is a very rhythmic song. “Believe” is an extremely sad song and “Fucking Worthless” is simply epic. Even if you are not a Negative fan you will like this album simply because of its strength and power. The album layout is very amazing as well. The cover shows a sunset at a shore, with the band name on the horizon. Inside you can find many pictures of neon signs throughout the US, as well as some typical American landscape pictures such as the freeway. But of course you can also find the lyrics in the album. I personally love this album and hope you will too.
