Imbalance is a Norwegian Thrash Metal band. They formed in 2004, but were previously known under the name Frost. After releasing a couple of demo’s they now come with their debut full length album called: “Period Three Implies Chaos”.
This band does not confuse you at all, a solid start shows that this band comes with a decent dose of aggression. There is a melodic edge to the sound as well but what mainly dominates are steady riffs with a strong back up from the drums, more upfront than you would have expected. These built up quite some speed and set the music to what it is. What is nice to hear is that the band seemed quite balanced in their sound. No struggles and helped with a good production this album comes surely on its best. Some good vocals included make the presentation of this band complete.
Listening to this music comes with the image that this band must bring a powerful live show, and that is exactly what they claim themselves too. “Period Three Implies Chaos” is a good album, not much wrong with that. You can hear the band members have been playing together for quite some time and the fact that this is their debut and its quite strong shows a good sight for the future.
