Bloody Dead And Sexy – An Eye On You

The band was founded in 1997 by Rosa Iahn, Tim Schande, Björn Henningson and Wolfgang Reetz. In the year 2000 founding member Wolfgang Reetz died in a motorcycle accident and was replaced by guitar player d’hAmm. After some years of touring in Europe and contributing songs to compilations (most well known is the song “Bloody Rose”), Bloody Dead And Sexy signed to the well-known German goth-label Alice In… and released two albums (“Paint It Red” and “Narcotic Room”). In 2004 Bloody Dead And Sexy toured the USA. Their popularity among the followers of the deathrock-scene worldwide became clear, when they were asked to headline the Wave Gotik Treffen, the world’s biggest goth-festival in Leipzig, two years in a row (2005 and 2006)]. After some exchanges of the guitar player in the following years, Matias 13 joined the band in 2006.

Bloody Dead and Sexy have now released a new album called “An Eye On You”. The music sounds like post-punk with a slightly touch of psychedelic rock. The first song somehow reminds of the adams family. Bloody Dead and Sexy have awesome melodies that just seem to float along with everything, very easy and harmonic. Whereas the vocals are a little stagnant and edgy. An odd sound that you only hear in this particular genre. Outside of that whole gothic post punk scene there is only a hand full of bands transferring this special sound into other genres. The lyrics are allegories to a deeper meaning that you are free to explore throughout the 15 songs. The vocals are in English and German. “An Eye On You” is different from what you usually hear, so take a break from mainstream and wander with Bloody Dead and Sexy for a while, because they have “An Eye On You”.
