If you not have heard the story of Sick of it All, here is the short version. The band was formed in the year 1986 in Queens. Not only a long way back but also creating the legendary story of Sick of it All. In 2006 the band opened a new chapter in their story. They signed with Century Media and celebrated their 20th anniverary. This band shows with every album that the classic (New York) hardcore is very alive. “Death To Tyrants” is the bands forerunner and was mixed by Tue Madsen, who is a known as metal producer (Heaven Shall Burn & Dark Tranquillity).
The band’s highly anticipated new album is called “Based On A True Story”. This album was the result of three and a half weeks in studio. This new album is also recorded with Tue Madsen in Denmark. According to the band it features catchy and powerful material, maybe even the most catchiest written ever. But the true sound of the band has not gone lost, opener “Death or Jail” shows that. What makes this album interesting is that they not only rely on their known sound, a track like “Dominated” has for instance metal influences, which makes the album varied. The power that comes out of the tracks clearly shows a rage that the band has against the things that go wrong in the world.
