Analogue-X – Imaginary

Label: Echozone Records
Releasedate:
27-03-2019

The German/Hungarian trio Analogue-X is making synthpop since 2017. The guys release their second full length album called “Imaginary” via Echozone Records.

Sure, they are a young formation, having their start in 2017 but a second full length album is already out. The depressive atmosphere they try to bring across comes out well. The melancholy is in it from the beginning through the end. Yet, this release is not exactly a winner. If you are into this genre you have heard this at least a hundred times before, the band goes from cliché to cliché and never gives a unique twist to it all. Vocalwise they are mediocre at best, the beat never much of killer and originality is far from this release. Why aren’t they giving a bit more of themselves to it?

Also, by the end of the tracklist you have not exactly found a track that jumps out more, it is all a lot in one line.

One mentioned the high degree of progression in the info sheet. Well, if that is true we suggest the first release to be collectively burnt, it won’t have much of value. Then we can only hope that that progression keeps going and may the third album be the charm perhaps?
