Fettes Brot is a German Hip Hop group. “Fett” is a German slang term for “excellent” and Brot is slang for “hash”. The band took the name from a fan who called them “Fettes Brot” after an early gig, which was probably meant as a compliment, but the members considered it so bizarre that they took it as the name for their new group. Fettes Brot’s longevity has meant that they are sometimes referred to as “Hamburg’s hip-hop-dinosaurs” by the group members. After a book, these guys have now released a brand new album. 

“Lovestory” comes with eleven songs. Each one is about love and friendship, old and new. Each song is telling a story which all of us will be able to relate to. This will cause your mind to wander, to think back and remember some good old times, some old friends and people we used to know. The hip hop tunes are easy going and will easily get stuck in your head. All lyrics are in German and Fettes Brot is playing with words, just like they always have. This makes the songs fun to listen to and easier to stay focused. 

Fettes Brot is back with a brand new album. “Lovestory” tells tales as old as time and stories we all know. A fun album to listen to, even for people that are not exactly into hip hop tunes. So go ahead and check it out.
