Syrence – Freedom In Fire

Label: Fastball Records
Releasedate: 08-02-2019

Syrence is a German formation making Heavy Metal. The band stays strongly connect with the 80s and is now releasing their album “Freedom in Fire”.

Bands like these usually don’t give you too much of an innovative release, which is not necessarily a problem. As long as it is brought with quality then we can certainly appreciate a bit more of what was a winning factor. Syrence is going well on that path. Guitars and vocals are over the average and the rest follows well. In the songwriting I personally would have liked them to highlight the most energetic moments a bit more to create a bit more contrast in it.

The biggest selling point of the album is the way these guitars are giving you melodic highlights, they are upfront in the mix and given some proper time to shine. It never goes over the top though, an often seen trap bands fall for.

Stand out tracks on the release are “Evil Force” which they released as a single as well and the album opener “Freedom In Fire”.

Altogether this turned out as a fine release. Will bring you enough to enjoy and would make me want to have a look might they pop up at some festival’s line up this summer.
