The Breath is a duo based in Manchester. About two years ago a debut album came out and anno 2018 they return with a follow up. It is called “Let The Cards Fall” and it is available now.

Remarkable in their music is the bond between the guitars of mr McCallum and the vocals. It is not one that shines most, but the two of them strengthening eachother. The emotional parts and the drama is not complete without it, but the two of them are not going without a backing band either. It looks like they took a lot of time to compose the whole and create everything with care, which rewards in an album that pleases you with plenty of details. “All That You Have Been” is one that comes early in the tracklist but creates a climax there already, You are not left with that, the duo has much more to offer. “Trip The Switch” is there again to demand your fullest attention.

Here and there a bit melancholic, but always a warm twist to it, the songs of “Let The Cards Fall” are dragging you deep into them. The Breath is powerful with what they do and they don’t need to stray any further. All one could want for the upcoming autumn days.
