The Beauty Of Gemina is a Swiss synth rock band founded in 2006 by Michael Seele. With “At The End Of The Sea” they have now released their third studio album.
Grey and dull weather and atmosphere is what you look at when checking out the booklet of The Beauty Of Gemina. Rainy and foggy seaside images as well as some band pictures are in the booklet along with all lyrics. The pages are mostly in black and the CD itself is grey. The sound of “At The End Of The Sea” is a little hard to describe. A male voice accompanied by an electro-synth background along with many different styles altogether brings a full and almost too crowded sound. Some tracks seem a little bit too packed with styles and samples. The music itself is not very spectacular without any big happenings. It just goes along with everything else you’re doing at the same time. Slow and dull like the picture on the cover with repetitive styles cause the album to be more of a background noise than actual music you keep your attention on. There is no particular catchy song on it and nothing special. The Beauty of Gemina created an album to which you can listen to whenever you need to focus on something else than the music itself but don’t want it to be completely silent.
