VIOLENT DIVINE – formed in late 2005, unanimously praised for their 2006 debut album by critics and fans alike. The album spawned 3 singles: Rush You , Let’s Go and Levitate and made great impact in numerous international radio stations as well as in major Swedish radio stations. VIOLENT DIVINE is loud guitars, thundering bass, pounding rhythms and vocal lines with a sleazy punk, rock and metal attitude. The manic lyrics take you on a roller coaster ride between euphoria and insanity.
The new Violent Divine album is out now. Unlike most other Swedish rock bands, Violent Divine does not have as much sleaze in their sound. Their music is darker but still thriving and catchy. The vocals sound a little forced though, not as easy going and easily sung as they should sound. The voice of the singer is low, the music sounds strong. “Release The Hounds” comes with fourteen great rock songs that vary between different styles. “Until Death” for example has a little bit of a rockabilly sound, others are closer to metal and some are just plain and rough rock’n’roll. “This Heart Is About To Be Broken” is the touchiest one on the album. Deep and sad lyrics combined with music that expresses just that as well make you feel the pain deep down in your heart. The new Violent Divine album has it all. Enjoy.
