Zeromancer is a Norwegian Industrial rock band formed in 1999 by members of the band Seigmen. The current Lineup is Alex Møklebust (vocals), Kim Ljung (bass guitar/backup vocals), Noralf Ronthi (drums) Lorry Kristiansen (programming) and Dan Heide (lead guitar). They have released four studio albums to date and are now their fifth called “The Death of Romance”.
Finally there is a new album of Zeromancer and it met all expectations. Awesome music that’s going deep underneath your skin is what you can find on “The Death Of Romance”. The album title sounds a little tragic and so is the album with its lyrics. Already the first song “Industrypeople” after the intro is catchy and thriving just like we know it from Zeromancer. The balance of soft and emotional, loving songs and harsher, colder songs is held. Danceable and thriving songs and very emotionally touching ones that make you sigh out loud are packed on this album. The title track “The Death of Romance” itself is an awesome slow song. “Murder Sound” is faster though, with harsh and cold elements and Alex shouting on the vocals. “Revengefuck” sounds evil and harsh as well. The band transferred the emotions of the lyrics very well into music and sound, you don’t even have to listen to the lyrics that closely to understand what the song is about. “The Pint” is a song that gets stuck in your head easily. “The Death Of Romance” is an awesome new album of Zeromancer about love and death with perfectly placed vocals and sounds. The patience was rewarded greatly.
